At Least 6 People Hurt after Valencia Pedestrian Crash Involving Hit-and-Run Driver on Town Center Drive
Valencia, California (November 6, 2023) – At least six people were injured when a driver barrelled onto a sidewalk in Valencia early Sunday morning, hitting a group of pedestrians.
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, the incident happened at around 2 a.m. on Town Center Drive, just outside the Valencia Town Center.
CCTV footage of the incident shows a white SUV driving erratically onto the curb and a group of people running to avoid the vehicle.
The SUV then backed up and drove away.
At least six people suffered minor injuries in the accident but no one was hospitalized.
The vehicle's front bumper and license plate were left at the scene.
Police later arrested two women on suspicion of driving the under influence.
