Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Ahwahnee Crash on SR-49 at Knickerbocker Road

Ahwahnee, California (November 5, 2023) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday afternoon after colliding with a vehicle in Ahwahnee, according to a police report.

The crash happened around 1:56 p.m. on Highway 49 at Knickerbocker Road near Wasuma Elementary School.

According to the CHP, a gray Nissan pickup truck and a Yamaha motorcycle were involved in the collision.

The motorcyclist sustained major injuries in the crash and was transported by an ambulance to a hospital.

The Nissan had a broken front axle and required towing. The motorcycle was also towed away.

No additional details regarding the crash were provided.
