Authorities said Cruz was riding a motorcycle south on Westlake Boulevard when he collided with a sedan that was traveling on Hillcrest Drive
Thousand Oaks, CA – The motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Thousand Oaks on Friday night has been identified as Jose Luis Diaz Cruz, 21, of Oxnard, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
The deadly two-vehicle crash took place in the area of Westlake Boulevard and Hillcrest Drive at about 11 p.m. June 14.
Authorities said Cruz was riding a motorcycle south on Westlake Boulevard when he collided with a sedan that was traveling on Hillcrest Drive.
Emergency crews performed life-saving measures on Cruz at the scene before transporting him to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, where he was pronounced deceased.
The other driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Authorities are working to determine what led up to the accident.
