The deadly accident t happened at about 11:45 p.m. on the northbound 805 Freeway, south of East J Street.
Chula Vista, CA – A 68-year-old man from La Mesa was killed late Saturday night after colliding with a vehicle on Interstate 805 Freeway in Chula Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The deadly accident t happened at about 11:45 p.m. on the northbound 805 Freeway, south of East J Street.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Mark K. Darulis was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on Interstate 805 when he crashed into a Toyota Corolla that became disabled in the number 1 lane, just south of East J Street under-crossing.
Upon the impact, Darulis was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
