Puyallup, WA.- A motorcyclist was injured in a crash that took place in Puyallup on Sunday evening, according to the Puyallup Police Department.
The accident took place on 39th Avenue Southwest near 9th Street Southwest at about 6:02 p.m. January 5.
According to the report, a motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on 39th Avenue Southwest when he was hit by a pickup truck that was traveling on 7th Street Southwest.
The driver of the pickup reportedly failed to yield to the right-of-way.
The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man from Pierce County, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup, a 72-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing
