Hesperia, CA – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Hesperia Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened at around 1:51 p.m. at Cottonwood Avenue and El Centro Road, according to the Hesperia Police Department.
A preliminary investigation revealed a mother was en routed to pick up her son from school in a black Honda sedan when her car was struck on the driver's side by a gray 2008 Mazda3.
The Honda sedan sustained significant damage to the driver's side door while Mazda3 had major front-end damage.
The woman, whose name was not disclosed, died at the scene.
The of injuries sustained by the other driver involved remains unknown.
The intersection was shut down during the on-scene investigation.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Hesperia Station is investigating to determine the cause of the wreck.
