Monrovia, CA. – At least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle accident that happened Tuesday evening in Monrovia, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported around 8:07 p.m. on the eastbound 210 Freeway just west of South Myrtle Avenue.
Authorities said a silver Dodge Charger was traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of lanes when it collided with a semi-trailer truck and got wedged underneath it. The driver of the Charger was able to get out of the car after the collision.
A gray Subaru Impreza was also involved in the crash.
CHP officers and Monrovia firefighters responded to the scene.
At least one person sustained minor injuries in the accident. It was unclear if the patient was hospitalized.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
