Sunol, CA. – One person was hurt in a car accident that took place Sunday evening on a freeway in Sunol, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident was reported around 8:27 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 680 at State Route 84.
A white Honda sedan and a white Infiniti were involved in the crash. The vehicles were reportedly racing prior to the accident. Airbags were deployed in one of the cars.
Authorities said one person sustained minor injuries in the collision.
Investigators closed Nos. 1 and 2 lanes as they worked the scene.
