Melvin Torres Guzman Dies in Palo Alto Crash on US 101
Palo Alto, California (October 27, 2023) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Palo Alto on Saturday morning has been identified as Melvin Alfredo Torres Guzman, 28, of Redwood City, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's Office.
The crash happened on US 101 just north of San Antonio Road at about 2:40 a.m. October 21.
Authorities said Torres Guzman was riding a Harley Davidson Sportster northbound on US 101 when he rear-ended a Chevrolet S-10.
He was ejected from the motorcycle, which then careened into a Jeep.
The impact caused the Jeep to roll over.
Torres Guzman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other drivers were not injured.
The CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
