Phoenix, AZ.- Two people were killed in a crash involving a wrong-way driver in Phoenix on Thursday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The incident took place on Interstate 17 just before 2 a.m. November 7.
The authorities said Maria Delrefugio Vazquez, 23, of Glendale, was driving southbound on northbound I-17 when she collided with an oncomig car.
Vazquez and a passenger in the second car, Dayana Viola Aguilar, 29, were both killed in the accident.
The driver of the second car was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
