A 35-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that happened on Highway 4 in Stockton, according to California Highway Patrol

San Joaquin County, CA – A 35-year-old man from Stockton died in a multi-vehicle collision in San Joaquin County on Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident was reported at around 5:36 a.m. on State Route 4.
The man was driving a car eastbound when he attempted to pass traffic and veered into the westbound lane where he collided head-on with an oncoming Volvo big rig.
The impact of the crash caused the Stockton man’s car to spin into eastbound traffic where he collided with a Hyundai and Toyota he was trying to pass.
The car ended up in the westbound lanes where it was hit by a Ford before coming to a stop.
The Stockton man was killed in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
