Man Hit and Killed by Car at 43rd Avenue and Clarendon Avenues
Phoenix, California (June 27, 2023) – A man died after he was hit by a car early Tuesday morning in Phoenix, police said.
The accident took place just before 1 a.m. at 43rd and Clarendon avenues, near Indian School Road.
Police and other emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the man lying in the middle of the road outside a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved stopped and cooperated with investigators.
43rd Avenue was closed in both directions south of Indian School Road following the accident.
