West Valley, AZ – A man was killed in a Thursday afternoon pedestrian accident on Loop 303 in West Valley.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the mishap was reported on Loop 303 near Peoria Road just after 1 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, the pedestrian was possibly picking up a ladder in the roadway when they were struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The southbound lanes were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
