Man Dies in Crash After Allegedly Running Stop Sign at Oakland Intersection

According to police, the wreck occurred around 8:43 a.m. at Linden Street and West Grand Avenue.

Oakland, CA. – A 47-year-old man died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday morning at an intersection in Oakland.

According to Oakland police, the wreck occurred around 8:43 a.m. at Linden Street and West Grand Avenue.

Police said the man was driving a Volvo sedan northbound on Linden Street when he reportedly failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a Mitsubishi Montero SUV heading eastbound on West Grand Avenue.

The man was rushed to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Oakland man driving the SUV was not hurt.

Police officers are investigating to determine the factors that contributed to the accident.
