A power pole was hit during the two-vehicle collision blocking S Walnut Avenue

Fresno, Calif. – At least one person was seriously injured Monday evening following a traffic collision involving two vehicles in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 5:09 p.m. on S Walnut Avenue at W Mount Whitney Avenue near Riverdale Joint Unified School District.
As per the CHP, a brown pick-up truck and a brown Hyundai were involved in the crash. A power pole was hit in the crash and was leaning toward the roadway. One of the vehicles was leaking gas.
An ambulance was requested to the scene for at least one person who had major injuries.
According to the CHP, a dog may have been killed in the crash.
