Major Injury Car Accident on US 101 at Fernbridge Drive in Fortuna

Fortuna, CA – One person was seriously injured in a Wednesday afternoon two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 in Fortuna.
The California Highway Patrol were called to State Route 101 near Fernbridge Drive on-ramp at around 2:56 p.m. regarding the mishap.
A black Honda Civic 4D collided with a second vehicle for unknown reasons. The Civic then went off the roadway and into a ditch.
One person suffered severe injuries in the accident.
More details regarding the collision were not available.
The wreck remains under investigation.
