Lake County, CA. – One person was seriously hurt in a traffic collision that happened Tuesday afternoon in Lower Lake, the California Highway Patrol said.

A Nissan Xterra and a red Dodge Charger were involved in the crash.
The vegetation near the collision scene caught fire after the wreck.
Authorities said one person was taken to the hospital with major injuries.
CHP officers did not immediately determine the cause of the accident.
