Caltrans reported all southbound lanes of SR-99 were closed near the scene due to the crash and advised drivers to seek alternative routes.

Sutter County, CA. – At least one person was injured, and southbound Highway 99 was closed following a car accident that happened Monday afternoon near Nicolaus, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported around 3:40 p.m. north of Highway 70.
CHP said two vehicles were involved in the collision.
At least one person sustained major injuries, as per the report.
