Los Feliz, CA.- A man was killed when a vehicle slammed into an apartment building in the Los Feliz neighborhood early Wednesday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The crash happened at 1836 N. Western Avenue south of Franklin Avenue at about 1:38 a.m. January 15.
A sedan was traveling on N. Western Avenue when the driver lost control and slammed through an apartment building in the area.
A man who was hit by the sedan died at the scene of the crash.
The victim was identified as Mahammad Humbatov, 59.
A 9-year-old boy was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Two people were trapped under the vehicle and were extricated by firefighters.
The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
