Menifee, CA – The Menifee Police Department has identified a woman killed in a Sunday morning pedestrian accident as 53-year-old Lucia Delgado of San Bernardino.
The deadly accident happened just before 7 a.m. on Sunday, January 19 on McCall Boulevard, just west of Aspel Road.
Reportedly, Miguel Angel Castillo, 28, of Menifee, was driving a Honda Pilot while traveling at an unconfirmed speed when he struck Delgado.
Castillo fled the crash site.
Delgado was declared deceased at the scene.
Castillo was later arrested and booked into the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta Monday night on suspicion of hit-and-run resulting in great bodily injury or death.
More information about the crash was not provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
