Authorities said Sjoblom was in the roadway outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by a Long Beach Transit bus heading north on Shoreline Drive
Long Beach, CA.- The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Long Beach on Tuesday evening has been identified as Lauren Sjoblom, 34, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.
The incident took place on Shoreline Drive and Seventh Street at about 6:55 p.m. November 26.
Authorities said Sjoblom was in the roadway outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by a Long Beach Transit bus heading north on Shoreline Drive.
Emergency crews performed life-saving measures on Sjoblom but she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the bus stayed at the scene after the accident.
Authorities said speed, impairment, and distracted driving were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
