The police said a 17-year-old boy was driving a pickup truck eastbound on Thomas Road at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a car turning from northbound 73rd Lane onto Thomas Road

Phoenix, AZ.- A man was killed in a traffic accident that took place on Tuesday evening in west Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident took place near 74th Avenue and Thomas Road at about 7:30 p.m. October 29.
The police said a 17-year-old boy was driving a pickup truck eastbound on Thomas Road at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a car turning from northbound 73rd Lane onto Thomas Road.
The driver of the car, Kevin Clark, 51, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver was treated for minor injuries.
Police said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
