Jose Hernandezalfaro Arrested after Fatal Alameda Car Accident on Cambridge Drive at Fernside Boulevard
Alameda, California (September 11, 2021) – Jose I. Hernandezalfaro, 33, of Richmond, was arrested following a deadly DUI crash on Monday night in Alameda, according to the authorities.
The incident happened just after 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 6, on Cambridge Drive and Fernside Boulevard.
According to the report, Hernandezalfaro was driving a car northbound on Cambridge Drive when he failed to yield at the intersection and t-boned a car traveling westbound on Fernside Boulevard.
The westbound vehicle was pushed into a residential home following the collision.

Nickolas Bianchi, 27 of Alameda, the driver of the westbound car, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in his car was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Hernandezalfaro also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. He was arrested on September 8 at the hospital.
Authorities said Hernandezalfaro was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing bodily injury. He was booked into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin and his bail set at $300,000.
The incident is under investigation.
