Moss Landing, CA.- Jimmy Cruz, 24, of Salinas, died following a collision north of Moss Landing on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Highway 1 just before 4:20 a.m. September 20.
According to CHP, Cruz was driving southbound on Highway 1 when he drifted into the path on oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a northbound black Honda that was driven by Janeth Balianmachain, 44, of Marina.
Cruz then exited his vehicle and as he was walking in the northbound lane, he was struck by a white Acura.
The three drivers were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
CHP said Cruz later died of his injuries.
According to the report, Cruz was suspected of DUI.
The incident is under investigation.
