Bakersfield, CA. – The man who was killed in a collision that happened in Bakersfield on Saturday evening has been identified as Jesus Alexis Beltran Aragon, 23, of Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The incident took place on Hughes Lane and Holden Way at about 8:50 p.m. May 10.
According to the report, an SUV was heading south on Hughes Lane when it tried to turn eastbound onto Holden Way and was involved in a broadside collision with another vehicle.
The impact caused the SUV to overturn.
Aragon, who was a passenger in the overturned SUV, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second party in the SUV was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
