Anaheim, CA.– The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Anaheim on Tuesday evening has been identified as Jessica Ferrino, 49, of Anaheim, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Coroner's Department.
The crash happened on South Rio Vista Street and Wagner Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. October 8.
According to the Anaheim Police Department, Raymundo Rangel, 33, was driving a silver Mercedes-Benz at a high rate of speed when he lost control and drifted off the roadway, hitting a pedestrian on the greenbelt.
The pedestrian, identified as Ferrino, died in the crash.
The vehicle landed in the Santa Ana River and its two occupants were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Rangel was also arrested on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
The incident is under investigation.
