Bakersfield, CA.- The teenager who was killed in a vehicle collision with a bicycle in Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon has been identified as Jeremiah Villalobos, 13, according to a local news source.
The Bakersfield Police Department said the incident took place just before 3 p.m. on November 13, on Columbus and Loyola streets.
Villalobos was reportedly riding a bicycle southbound on Loyola Street when he was hit by a vehicle traveling west on Columbus Street.
Police said Villalobos was rushed to Kern Medical, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with investigators.
According to the report, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
The incident remained under investigation.
