Zepeda was driving a northbound white BMW at a high speed on Canyon Road East when he ran a red light and struck a Mercedes sedan driven by that was making a left turn to go south on Canyon Road, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

Pierce County, WA. – Two men killed in a fiery two-vehicle collision two weeks ago in Puyallup, Pierce County have been identified.

According to the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office, 19-year-old Jaziel Zepeda and Elijah Williams, 21, died in a crash that occurred on Canyon Road August 14.

Zepeda was driving a northbound white BMW at a high speed on Canyon Road East when he ran a red light and struck a Mercedes sedan driven by Williams that was making a left turn to go south on Canyon Road, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

Both of their vehicles burst into flames and were completely engulfed.

Zepeda and Williams were declared dead at the scene.

No further details regarding the mishap were provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
