Ismael Rodriguez was hit by a vehicle on Niles Street while walking in the area
Bakersfield, Calif. – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Bakersfield last month has been identified as Ismael Rodriguez, 69, of Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The incident took place on Niles Street near Barlow Street at around 10:46 p.m.
Authorities said Rodriguez was hit by a vehicle in the area under unclear circumstances.
He was taken to Kern Medical where he was pronounced deceased on October 29.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and called the authorities.
The accident is under investigation.
