According to a preliminary investigation, 81-year-old Warren Currier of Riddle was driving a 2007 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Riddle Bypass Road when he made a left turn onto E Street when he collided with a northbound 2024 Ninja Kawasaki motorcycle operated by Matthews.
Riddle, OR. – 20-year-old Gage Matthews of Myrtle Creek was identified as a motorcycle rider killed in a traffic collision on Riddle Bypass Road in Riddle Friday morning.
According to the Oregon State Police, the wreck occurred at around 9:17 a.m. October 12 on Riddle Bypass Road near E Street.
According to a preliminary investigation, 81-year-old Warren Currier of Riddle was driving a 2007 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Riddle Bypass Road when he made a left turn onto E Street when he collided with a northbound 2024 Ninja Kawasaki motorcycle operated by Matthews.
Matthews was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Currier was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the crash is being investigated.
