Authorities said the man was walking west, attempting to cross 10th Avenue, and a 19-year-old was driving a black Honda southbound on 10th Avenue.
Hanford, CA. – A 69-year-old Fresno man died after he was struck by a car Saturday night south of Hanford, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident was reported around 9 p.m. on 10th Avenue near Iona Avenue.
Authorities said the man was walking west, attempting to cross 10th Avenue, and a 19-year-old was driving a black Honda southbound on 10th Avenue.
The pedestrian entered the street and got hit by the Honda.
The man died from injuries suffered in the crash. He was from Five Points, an unincorporated community in Fresno County.
The occupants of the Honda were not injured.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
