Sacramento, CA. – A woman was killed in a head-on collision Sunday night on the 80 Freeway in Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported along the northbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Exposition Boulevard offramp at around 9:15 p.m.
Reportedly, a man in his 30s was driving a Toyota Corolla wrong-way when it collided with a Nissan Altima. The Corolla driver drove away after the incident but was later found and was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
The Altima driver was hospitalized with unknown injuries while a female passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased was not immediately released.
