Fresno County, Calif. – A pedestrian was struck and killed in an early Thursday morning crash on State Route 180 in Kerman.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on Highway 180 and Siskiyou Avenue.

A car was reported to have hit a pedestrian in the area for unknown reasons.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the crash site.

There was a hard closure at Modoc and Siskiyou Avenues.

Motorists were advised to find alternate routes.

More details regarding the collision were not provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
