1 Killed, 1 Severely Hurt in North Phoenix Accident at 27th Avenue and Deer Valley Road

Phoenix, Arizona (November 10, 2023) – One person was killed and another seriously injured in a crash Friday morning at an intersection in North Phoenix.

The tragic traffic collision happened at around 6:30 a.m. at 27th Avenue and Deer Valley Road, just off Interstate 17.

Two vehicles were involved in the wreck. The manner in which they collided was not immediately established.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found a man in critical condition. Despite the life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second car was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The identity of the deceased and the injured were not immediately released.

The wreck closed the intersection for several hours as officers investigated the wreck.

An investigation is underway.
