Ethan Navarro and Steve Montanez Killed in Car Accident at Devonshire Avenue and Warren Road in Hemet
Hemet, California (October 28, 2023) – A 20-year-old San Diego man has died while receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a crash that claimed the life of another man near Hemet early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened near the intersection of Devonshire Avenue and Warren Road at around 12:04 a.m. on October 25, according to Riverside County Fire Department.
A Mitsubishi Lancer driven by 51-year-old Steve Montanez, of Murrieta, and a Nissan Pathfinder driven by Ethan Navarro collided near the intersection in unclear circumstances.

Montanez was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Navarro had to be extricated from the Nissan before being transported to Riverside University Health System Medical Center where he died on Friday.
More details about the accident were not released.
The Hemet Police Department is investigating the accident.
