Baldwin Park High School killed in multi-vehicle collision on 10 Freeway near Rancho Avenue in Rialto

Rialto, CA. – The principal of Baldwin Park High School has been identified as one of the two people who were killed in a collision on Friday evening in Rialto.
The double fatal crash happened on Interstate 10 Freeway near Rancho Avenue at around 6:11 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white Ford F-150 truck was heading west on the freeway when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Tesla Model 3 driven by Faith C. Manigos, 40.
A silver Toyota Echo and a white Ford Explorer were also involved in the collision.
Eric D. Lopez, 55, of Grand Terrace, was killed in the accident.
Lopez was a principal at Baldwin Park High School.
Manigos, a resident of Redlands, was killed in the accident.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
