The impact of the collision sent the pickup truck off the freeway where it struck a tree and a streetlight
Sunol, CA. – 37-year-old Eduardo Tovaraleman has been identified by the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau as the man who died in a collision last week in Sunol.
The fatal collision happened on Interstate 680 Freeway north of Sheridan Road at around 6:30 a.m. on August 20, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Los Banos man was driving a 1992 GMC Sierra pickup truck northbound on the freeway when he crashed into the rear of a three-axle Peterbilt dirt hauler semi-trailer.

Tovaraleman died at the accident scene.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
