Huntington, CA.- Earl Venosdel, 67, has been identified as the man who died in a traffic collision in Huntington Beach earlier this month, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
The crash happened on Pacific Coast Highway and Beach Boulevard at around 7 p.m. October 5.
Authorities said a motorcycle was traveling southbound on the Pacific Coast Highway when it crashed into Venosdel, who was walking in the crosswalk at the intersection.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle, which then crashed into a Toyota Rav4.
Venosdel was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on Tuesday, October 15.
The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old Buena Park man, was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the Rav4, a 34-year-old Huntington Beach woman, was unhurt and remained at the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
