Devin Hendry and Ashley Godinez Die in Head-On Collision on Dillard Rd in Sacramento
Sacramento, California (June 23, 2023) – 27-year-old Devin Hendry has been identified as the man who was killed in a head-on collision on Tuesday night in Elk Grove.
The fatal crash happened on Dillard Road east of State Route 99 at around 9:28 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Hendry, a resident of Ukiah, was driving westbound on Dillard Road when he made an “unsafe turning movement to the left” and into the eastbound lanes where he collided head-on with a car driven by 37-year-old Ashley Godinez.
Both Hendry and Ashley were killed in the accident.
Ashley’s 2-year-old daughter was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
