Polk County, OR. – David Lee Sterrett, 69, of Dallas, has been identified as a rider killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 22 in Polk County Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Oregon State Police, the collision occurred on September 3 at around 12:54 p.m. on State Route 22 at Highway 51.
Reportedly, a Lincoln MKZ driven by Hine Jr. entered the path of an eastbound Honda motorcycle, operated by Sterrett, causing the Honda to impact the driver's side door of the Lincoln.
Sterrett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hine Jr. and passenger, Diana J. Marlin, 76, of Otis, suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
