Reportedly, a Ford Taurus operated by Gay E. Hall Pentecost ,74, of Sheridan, was stopped on Perrydale Road facing northbound. The Ford entered the roadway and struck a westbound GMC Sierra 3500 driven by David Carl Stauber ,69, of Keizer, on the rear driver side bumper area.
Polk County, OR. – David Carl Stauber ,69, of Keizer and Alejandro Zukowski ,63, of Salem, were killed in in a car accident on Highway 22 in Polk County Monday morning.
The Oregon State Police received reports regarding the mishap on State Route 22 at Perrydale Road at around 11:47 a.m. October 28.
Reportedly, a Ford Taurus operated by Gay E. Hall Pentecost ,74, of Sheridan, was stopped on Perrydale Road facing northbound. The Ford entered the roadway and struck a westbound GMC Sierra 3500 driven by David Carl Stauber ,69, of Keizer, on the rear driver side bumper area.
The impact caused the GMC to veer into the eastbound lane where it was struck by an eastbound International commercial motor vehicle and trailer, operated by Robert Farley Snyder ,60, of Independence, on the passenger side of the pickup.
Stauber and passenger, Zukowski were both declared deceased at the scene.
Pentecost and Snyder were uninjured.
The highway was impacted for approximately four and half hours during the on-scene investigation.
An investigation is ongoing.
