The WSP said Maria Faaeteete, 38, of Hermiston, Oregon, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban northbound on SR 17 when she slowed down for traffic ahead and was rear-ended by a 1997 GMC Sierra driven by Jose Gonzales, 60, of Moses Lake
Moses Lake, WA.- Several peole were injured in a chain-reaction collision in Moses Lake on Sunday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place on State Route 17 at about 11:30 a.m. September 29.
The WSP said Maria Faaeteete, 38, of Hermiston, Oregon, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban northbound on SR 17 when she slowed down for traffic ahead and was rear-ended by a 1997 GMC Sierra driven by Jose Gonzales, 60, of Moses Lake.
The GMC was then hit by a 2019 Toyota Tundra operated by Elma resident, Mitchell Thompson, 56.
The Toyota was in turn struck by a 2014 Dodge Ram driven by 41-year-old Maria Palomino, of Eltopia.
Daisy Cantu, 24, of Othello, was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse and swerved to avoid the crashed vehicles but collided with an oncoming 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by Cohen Cardwell, 19, of Pasco.
Gonzales, Cantu, and two passengers in the Nissan Rogue were transported to Samaritan Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
