Camarillo, CA. – A woman died in a bicycle accident that happened Friday afternoon at an intersection in Camarillo, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office Camarillo Station reported.
The crash took place around 2:10 p.m. at Adolfo and Santa Rosa roads.
According to authorities, a woman was riding a bicycle in the area when she was struck by a white cargo van.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the cyclist to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where she later died.
Authorities said the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Her age and city of residence were not mentioned.
The driver of the van stopped and remained at the scene.
Sheriff's deputies closed the intersection for investigation. All lanes were reopened around 6 p.m.
