Livermore, CA. – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury collision that happened Wednesday evening on 580 Freeway in Livermore.
The incident was reported around 7:19 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway just west of N Livermore Avenue off-ramp.
Authorities said a Toyota RAV4 and a Honda were involved in the crash. Airbags were deployed in one of the cars.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the accident.
All traffic lanes were reopened at 8:06 p.m.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
