Georgi was struck by a vehicle at about 7:39 p.m. in the 2400 block of Hughes Lane. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Bakersfield, California (September 27, 2023) – A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Tuesday evening in Bakersfield, according to the authorities.
The Bakersfield Police received reports about the deadly pedestrian crash at around 7:39 p.m. September 26 on the 2400 block of Hughes Lane.
The driver was heading southbound on Hughes Lane when it struck the pedestrian. The events leading up to the incident were not immediately established.
The man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.
The name of the deceased was not immediately released.
Impairment did not play a role in the accident.
The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The BPD is investigating the wreck.
