A Toyota Prius and a commercial truck were involved in the collision on the northbound side of the freeway
Culver City, CA – Clifton Gore Jr., 74, has been identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office as the man who was killed in a vehicle collision near Culver City early Thurs morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened at about 2:13 a.m. May 30, on the Santa Monica (405) Freeway at National Boulevard.
A Toyota Prius and a commercial truck were involved in the collision on the northbound side of the freeway.
The two vehicles reportedly burst into flames after the accident.
Gore and another woman involved in the accident were pronounced deceased at the scene.
All lanes of the freeway were shut down for hours as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The CHP is investigating to determine what led up to the accident.
