The collision took place around 1:38 a.m. on eastbound State Route 91, just east of the Santa Fe Avenue off-ramp.
Four vehicles were involved in the crash, blocking the middle lanes.
Police officers and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
One person was killed in the crash, as per the report.
