The Ceres man was driving a 2014 Buick sedan eastbound on Highway 120 when he collided head-on with a 2020 Hino tank truck
Jamestown, CA. – A 54-year-old man died in a head-on collision that occurred on Friday morning in Jamestown.
The fatal collision happened around 7:25 a.m. on Highway 120 east of La Grange Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Ceres man was driving a 2014 Buick sedan eastbound on Highway 120 when he drifted into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a 2020 Hino tank truck driven by 67-year-old Erich Heinrichs of Turlock.
The Ceres man was killed in the accident.
Heinrichs sustained serious injuries and was transported to Adventist Health Sonora.
Vicki Rasmussen, 66, of Ceres, was a passenger on the truck and was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of serious injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
