The driver of a northbound Toyota Corolla failed to stop for the posted sign at the intersection and crashed into a Hyundai Accent killing Avila

Coalinga, CA – The female driver who died after her vehicle was struck over the weekend on a stretch of Highway 269, just south of Huron has been identified as 45-year-old Carmen Avila from Coalinga.
According to the police, Avila was driving a Hyundai Accent southbound on 269 when a northbound Toyota Corolla ran a stop sign and crashed into the Hyundai's driver's side.
Avila was killed in the crash.
The other driver was injured and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center.

Fresno County, CA. – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened near Coalinga in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8 a.m. on Highway 269 near Jayne Avenue.
A Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on Highway 269 when the driver failed to stop for the posted sign at the intersection and crashed in a Hyundai Accent.
The driver of the Hyundai was killed in the accident.
The name of the person who died was not immediately disclosed.
