Fresno County, CA. – A man in his 30s was hospitalized following a major big rig collision on Tuesday morning in Fresno County.
According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, the collision occurred at around 6:30 a.m. at the North Avenue and Dickenson Avenue intersection.
Per the report, a man was heading north on Dickenson approaching the junction in a gray Nissan when another man operating a semi-truck on North drove through a stop sign. The two vehicles crashed sending the Nissan into a nearby canal.
The semi-driver freed the man from the submerged vehicle.
The Nissan driver sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a local hospital.
The semi-driver did not sustain any injuries due to the crash.
Police said there was no evidence alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.

Fresno, CA. – One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened on Tuesday morning in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:34 a.m. in the area of North Avenue and Dickenson Avenue.
The officers who responded to the incident located a sedan and a big rig at the accident scene. The impact of the collision sent the sedan into a canal where it was fully submerged.
At least one person suffered serious injuries in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
